Most of what is sold in this category is sold twice over: once as a photograph that looks nothing like the object, and once as a promise about what the stone will do. We are interested in neither. A listing here is meant to show you the piece and tell you its size, its weight and what it is made of, so that what arrives is what you chose.

Everything in the catalogue comes through approved suppliers and our own selection. We do not list a piece because it is available; we list it because it is worth the shelf. Where a supplier cannot tell us a material or an origin with confidence, we say nothing rather than guess — an unverified detail is not a smaller version of a verified one.

Brazil is an important source for this kind of work, and some of what we carry comes from there. We name an origin on a listing only where it has been confirmed for that specific piece, which means most listings will not carry one.
